Ideally should be sited with one long elevation mainly south facing if possible, so the sun runs along the length of the greenhouse during the course of the day. However the steep roof pitch of the Victorian greenhouses ensures good growing in most positions, as also does the different angles of the glazing in the Hartley greenhouses.
