John Walker is an award-winning gardening and environment writer, author, blogger and micropublisher. His latest book is the new edition of Weeds: An Organic, Earth-friendly Guide to Their Identification, Use and Control. Despite occasional squirrel-fuelled frustration, John is enjoying eking a new earth- and climate-friendly garden from a once bracken-riddled hillside at his home in Snowdonia, North Wales. He has a large lean-to greenhouse powered by free, non-polluting and renewable modern sunshine.

Val Bourne

Val Bourne is an award-winning writer and winner of Journalist of the Year in 2014, writing for Gardens Illustrated and The Daily Telegraph among others.. She gardens in the cold Cotswolds, growing flowers, fruit and vegetables organically - with the aid of a Hartley Botanic greenhouse that her Best Beloved has taken over for tomatoes and peppers.
