Raymond Blanc OBE is proud to ‘open’ the Hartley Botanic Westminster Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show Stand TR1
On Monday 19 May, Raymond Blanc OBE will join his friends from Hartley Botanic to officially open their garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, Stand TR1.
The highlight of the garden will be a showcase of their newest greenhouse, The Westminster. The structure is a magnificent one, manufactured from BS1474 aluminium extrusion and stainless steel, glazed in tempered safety glass and available in a range of colours.
Hartley Botanic has been manufacturing victorian glasshouses since 1938 when Vincent Hartley patented his original aluminium glasshouse design.
The garden will also display a choice selection of greenhouses of varying styles , filled with ornamental plants. Willow sculptures created by Emma Stothard will adorn the outside. Garden Organic has supplied a selection of intriguing varieties of heritage plants from its Heritage Seed Library (links to UK site) and will have some seed packets for guests along with recipe cards using these varieties created by Raymond Blanc.
All the partners have a long standing relationship having created the National Raymond Blanc Heritage Garden Project at Belmond Le Manoir. Blanc has worked with Hartley Botanic for many years and is proud to house a beautiful glasshouse in the heart of the Heritage garden. His garden also has over 180 varieties covering 80 vegetables from the
Garden Organic Heritage Seed Library and is home to a collection of Emma’s bucolic willow masterpieces including pigs, hares and a cow.
Commenting on the garden, Johnny Mobasher from Hartley Botanic said:
“We are so proud of our business and the Chelsea Flower Show is the perfect place to showcase our offering. The team has done a fantastic job and we are lucky to work with our friends from Garden Organic and Emma Stothard and thank Raymond for his on-going support and enthusiasm.”
